The Storms Legacy - 3.2

((( archive )))((( download )))

Last time: Michael enjoys being a father so much, he begged his wife for children. Perfect legacy father if you ask me. Fun was had with Glory and the boys, but it probably wasn't as fun for Gideon and Glory as it was for me. And Elliot is still a kid, so we can only go so far with that. Anyway. My save file started to fuck up, and the town was full of extra Elliots, Parkers, Avalons, etc. That's just not going to do. Parker continues to fill the house with personality and babies. September is starting to feel her age strain on her job and her life, so she and Jonas head off to Egypt. And that's where I left you.

September: Time to get my Adventure trait on for once in my life.

I agree! Let's get some!

In classic Storms form, September gets out a limo to meet her mark. :P

This is Abdul. He wants September to go back to camp and retrieve some lost papers from the abandoned mine or whatever.

September: Wow. That sounds so exciting and worthy of my talents. /sarcasm

Jonas: Greetings, merchant! I must purchase a gift for the love of my life! What do you have that might be worthy?
Egyptian Merchant: This is a book shop.
Jonas: Do you have the latest Jimmy Sprocket? She's a fan.
Egyption Mercahnt: We have this beat up copy of the second novel. Take it or leave it.
Jonas: Nobody even liked the second one...I'll take it.

September: Hey, honey. Don't worry about food, I bought some tasteless dried food. We're going to a mine.
Jonas:...that sounds way better than sushi.

At least it's not a limo?

September: We don't really need the siren, honey.
Jonas: What good is having a siren if I don't use it?

Way to make every villager hate you.

September: Why did they make the key out of heavy stone? Seems unnecessary to me.

Jonas: So I step on these feet shape indentations and-
September: Awesome!

♥ forever September.

And Jonas. <3

They are so excited about everything! XD

September: I wouldn't call these papers "lost". They're right here in a glowing box. What idiot couldn't find this?

Jonas: Are you sure this is the right way out, Ember?

September doesn't need no stinkin' maps, Jonas.

September: Here's your papers, Abdul. There's a suspicious corporation logo on them, but whatever. Need anything else? Or am I getting paid now?
Abdul: How about both? Here's some ancient coins-
September: Wait, what? What am I going to do with these?
Abdul: And my friends the Luftis would like to speak with you about more work if you're interested.

But Layla wants turquoise before she gives September the key to the pyramid. Ugh.

This is what Jonas does while September chats with Layla. Feeling for snake in a basket. Not smart.

September: I take it you want blue turquoise? Or can I pick up any turquoise rock I find no matter the color or quality?
Layla: Blue is preferable.
Jonas: Pretty sure there's a snake in here somewhere.

Then Layla goes in and makes waffles.

September: Don't mind if I do!
Jonas: They have the same china! I wonder if our china is Egyptian and we never knew?

Jonas: Thank you for your hospitality, Layla.
Layla: Perhaps I will escape my family and impose on your family's hospitality someday.
Jonas: What?
Layla: I said you are most welcome, Mr. Storms.

After turquoise hunting, Jonas and September camp out under the stars.

They wake up hungry. Hungry for looooove.

Flying tents. My favorite WA animation. XD

September discovers there are no bathrooms in the middle of the desert.

September: It's okay, I got a shower-in-a-can. Just didn't think it'd be so uncomfortable to pee outside.

Meditating. So serene, my girl.

Also seems to be the fastest way for Ember to get the Turquoise to Layla.

Layla: Mrs. Storms! You cannot walk around the village dressed like that!
September: I will change if you give me the key to the pyramid. And here's your turquoise.
Layla: Okay. But you must leave before my sister sees you and gets ideas.

At last! The pyramid!

September: It's about fucking time!

Jonas: Not sure it's a good idea to be disturbing the dead sarcophagi, honey. You've seen the movies.
September: Eh.

Really, September? Work? Here?

September: Just making sure the hospital hasn't imploded. Or I would if I could get a signal.

September: How's he getting service?

September refuses to get into the pool, opting instead to break rocks and try to find another path. Jonas takes the plunge for the team.

September: There has to be another way to the other side of the tomb.

Nope. Sorry, Ember.

September: Couldn't you, like, teleport me over there or something? Or I can zeneport?

We're running out of vacation time, bebe, you just gotta do it.

You can do it, girly!

Meanwhile Jonas solves the puzzle on the other side of the well. Which is good, because it took September twice as long to get across and I was freaking out that she was going to drown. :(

Poor dripping baby.

September: Worst experience of my life. Ever. The water, it burned.

There aren't any bathrooms in the tombs either.

September: Okay. Another moon key in another moon lock. Not sure why foreigners make this so complicated.

Jonas: Shit, there's a invisible trap!
September: Don't worry, Jonas, I got your back.
Jonas: I'M ON FIRE!
September: Just let me know if you need help.

Jonas: Eek! *jumps*
September: Hold still so I can put you out!

Seriously, guys. September almost drowns and Jonas sets himself on fire. Are they trying to kill me? :P

Jonas goes to soak in the well, so September gets to disable the trap with her inferior handiness skill. Good thing she's badass.

September: Onwards to treasure!

...oh shit...

September: Whatever. It's just a walking, decaying corpse.

SEPTEMBER! Jonas was freaked and SMART enough to run! What are you doing??!

September: What? It's just a mummy!

He's freaking me out! What, with the one-creepy-eye-stare! (!!!)

King Raymundo: Dr. Livingston, I presume?

September: Bitch, please! I am Dr.-fucking September Storms!

September: I'll teach you, you unnatural curse of the walking dead!

September: Let that be a lesson to you!
King Raymundo: I didn't know it was still possible to feel such pain after death!

And then the vacation times out and I heard a bunch of screaming as Riverview started to load again, and I didn't get to see what the screaming meant and what happened after September defeated the mummy. Bleh. :P

Nothing much going on at home. Parker hating her chores.

Parker: *muttering* @#$%^& bugs and grass. If only I could combine you with technology, then you'd be clean bugs and grass. And technology would stop breaking and fucking up. It could grow on it's own. *mutter*

Michael continues to love parenting. I love how toddlers learn skills at maxed speed with Family-Oriented teachers.

Michael: Rock and Roll all night...?
Avalon: And party!
Michael: Good girl!

Parker going into labor =/= not boring!

Elliot: Parker, what are you dooooooing?!
Gideon: Here? You're doing that here?!
Parker: What's the matter with you idiots?! Someone help me!

Jonas: Hey guys, Mom and I are back from Egypt (!!!) Parker! What are you doing?!
Elliot & Gideon: OH GOD OH GOD!
Parker: Daaaaad! Take me to the hospital!

What's our surgeon doing during the panic? Well, it seems September has recovered from some of her water phobia after Egypt.

(Loves the Outdoors > Hydrophobic according to EA? Or an oversight? :P)

Parker: The siren isn't necessary, Dad. Most of the pain is gone.
Jonas: No. Nope. Gotta get you to the hospital. Pronto. Right away. Yes.

Michael ditches work and RUNS all the way there because he's awesome.

Michael: I read all those pregnancy books so I'M READY FOR ANYTHING!

Hey bebe!

Marzieh: Parker is in room 206, Mike.
Michael: baby baby baby baby baby

It's a boy! My game apparently doesn't have a gender bias. Meet Niel Storms.

Gideon: Grandma, why did you come back from the dead to destroy my high score?!

Gideon: *faints*

What does Gideon do when he wakes up? Asks Carolyn for an autograph! I ♥ you Gideon.

Gideon: Thanks for signing your old photos, Grandma.
Carolyn: Make a killer on eBay, son.

Parker only pays attention to their children when they're new. :P

Parker: I like them before they can talk.

September: Jonas. I know this sounds crazy. But I'm thinking of retiring. I can't keep up with the work anymore at my age and I want some time to enjoy our grandchildren. I've been thinking maybe we should move too, get a new start. Someplace where they don't know about my Dad's sordid affairs.

Jonas: Honey, are you sure? You love working. You love the hospital.

September: I love the children more.

September: I can't believe I'm doing this. I can't believe I'm doing this.

Jonas decides he may as well retire too.

Jonas: Hey, Larry. I've decided to retire. No, don't try to talk me out of it. (...) Well, you can try to talk me out of it a little...

For some reason, I thought this shot was sexy. Alone in the universe. XD

Jonas gets confetti too!

Maid Dammit, I just swept the floor.

OMGWTFBBQ, AVALON?! o.0 Speaking of things EA overlooked?! DNW!

Maid: This is unnatural.

September: I wonder what I'll do without work. Maybe I can still work from home?

Maid: Yay, Mrs. Storms. I'm so happy for you. Yay.

Look, baby is normal again. >.<

Later that evening...

There's a party, and Glory is sitting outside, so he joins her.

Gideon: You're looking a little lonely and sad. Need a hug?
Glory: Maybe. That sounds nice, actually.

Gideon: Better?
Glory: Yes. Thank you.

Gideon: What's up, Glory? I've never seen you so blue before.

Glory: I've been a little homesick lately. I miss my twin brother. I miss my little sisters.

Gideon: Who's the exotic woman playing the guitar?
Glory: And I'm not sure what's holding me to Riverview. Sometimes I feel like there's another me living another life somewhere.

Gideon: She's kind of pretty.
Glory: Gideon. You're not even listening.

Glory: *sigh*

Gideon: I'm sorry, Glory. And I wish I could help you. But no one can tell you what you want out of life but you. All I know is what you don't want.

Glory: Hmm. You can be sweet, Gideon. You remind me of your brother that way.
Gideon: In case you haven't noticed lately, Glory, everything reminds you of Elliot.

Speaking of Elliot...

Elliot: Yay! Birthday time!

Elliot: Oh my gosh, I'm shiny!

Hell~o, Elliot! Aren't you pretty? XD He rolled charismatic for his final trait, which suits him wonderfully. Elliot is available for download for those interested.

Little Avalon made a new friend. ♥♥ forever, Uncle Logan.

Elliot: Glory. I've been looking all over for you. I need to ask you something-

Glory: If I can still make this face? Anything for my best friend!
Elliot: Haha, that's always a riot, Glory!

Elliot: But that wasn't what I meant. I need to ask you something important-

Then I get the notice that Glory "had an awesome time!" at the party and she leaves. Poor Elliot.

Gideon: Cake fairies left me a plate to lick for breakfast! Yay!

Michael: When you guys die, Parker and I will inherit the house!
September: GAH!
Jonas: Can we not die prematurely, Michael??!

Elliot and his faces! XD

Elliot: I want to play with Avalon, but the maid is in the way!

Speaking of Avalon, she's as cute as a bean.

Elliot: Thanks for coming over, Glory. I still need to ask you that important question-
Glory: Oh, um. I just came over to tell you I can't come over because I have to work in two hours. Maybe I'll call you later. Or you'll call me. One of us will use the phone sometime. Gotta run!

Glory, why do you keep running awaaaaaaay? >.<

Thataboy, chase that woman!

Elliot: I followed you home. You can get ready for work while I talk, right? So I can ask you this important question I've been trying to ask?

Glory: I have this suspicion I know what you're going to ask. And I'm not sure I can do it, Elliot. We've been friends for so long and we haven't even kissed-

Elliot: So you want me to kiss you?
Glory: *thump thump thump thump*

Glory: Can you hold that thought while I go to work?

Why does she look so terrified? Elliot is NOT SCARY! He is the opposite of scary!

Glory, you are starting to drive me crazy. :P

Elliot: Excuse me, sorry to bother you, but why does Glory keep running away?

Elliot: I just want her to marry me, live in my house, and live happily ever after!

He's the romance novel hero. Well, his idea of romance comes from romance novels, so yeah. :D

Elliot: *pounce*
Glory: Elliot, what-
Elliot: I grabbed you before you could get away. I've been waiting for you to get off work for hours.
Pirate Guy: Hey, babe, who-
Elliot: Get lost, dude.

Elliot: So the deal was I kiss you and you listen to my question, right?
Glory: Um-

WTF, women gossiping about Glory in the background?

Constance: The minute he reaches adulthood, she lands him like a stone. It's not fair.
Macy: I saw her flirting with his brother on a bench at the party yesterday.
Reporter Woman: The nerve!

Mind your own beeswax. :P

*smooch* ♥♥

Elliot: Okay, now for my question. I've been holding onto it since I first saw you when I was eleven.
Glory: Elliot-

Elliot: Will you marry me, Glory?
Glory: Oh my stars, I can't believe this is happening!

Elliot: Please?

Glory: I really do love you, Elliot Storms.

Elliot: I love you more.
Glory: I love you most. ♥

Heh. Don't sue me, you-know-who.

Time for a legacy wedding! Mostly because my game was crashing constantly!

And I leave you with this. It was the last picture I took of the old save because it froze at every process screen, so I couldn't add Glory to the house. Plus it was crashing and glitching, so it was time for a new start. Next time! The Storms move to a new neighborhood! Along with them, we bring Marzieh's family and Jackie & Luca's family, because I couldn't bear losing Jackie, especially with Parker as heir. Clayton and Alice remain in Riverview with their broods and live happily ever after.

Jacqueline McGuire credit goes to siouxpergirl.
Luca, Logan, and Glory Crescendo credit goes to kittenmittons

Thanks for reading! ♥

He did. They're both completely sweethearts. :D

Since you didn't get to see what the screaming meant, I'm going to assume that it was the mummy screaming from September continuing to kick its ass. Clearly that's the only possible explanation.

Yay for gender diversity! I can't wait to see the kids grow up.

I'm glad to see that Glory finally cooperated with Elliot - what cuties!

I hope your game is working better. :\ I haven't patched mine yet, and I'm in no hurry to either! But hopefully the new neighborhood fixes things for you! *crosses fingers*
Jacqueline: sims3 ember stormsvayleen on February 9th, 2011 08:47 am (UTC)
I'm sure she did. Ember is the boss like that. Since they appeared back in Riverview all in one piece and all the merrier, we'll just have to go with that.

I jinxed myself with that gender diversity thing, and you'll see why eventually. -.-

I get a lot of SP updates about Elliot and Glory. <333

The new game is going well. With Twallan's updates, I was able to install the patch and Outdoor Living without a problem. :) My legacy family is already taking over the new neighborhood. =/

Sorry, I had to.

Jinxed yourself, hey? I am intrigued! I'm also intrigued by the SP updates on Glory and Elliot, the little foxes.

I'm glad to hear your game is working again. I never buy stuff packs, so I haven't bothered to update yet myself. I'm not surprised to hear the family is taking over the town - you did breed that Crescendo fertility in, after all. ;)
Jacqueline: loz link minish capvayleen on February 10th, 2011 02:45 am (UTC)
Don't apologize, your random graphics are one of my favorite things about you. I'm too lazy to look for gifs myself so I just enjoy yours.

Nothing unusual from SP, just a lot of "Glory and Elliot are holding hands" "Glory and Elliot are kissing each-others' cheeks" "Glory and Elliot are arm-n-arm and the townfolk are sighing/swooning/rolling their eyes", you know. ;)

I buy stuff the packs the way I buy designer coffee - I couldn't afford it before, but now I can, so I do. XD I'm crazy about the Sims, and it's a fun way for me to support the franchise.

There's the pollinating thing, and there's also a party at someone's house all the time. They're literally like one of those big Italian or Irish families that's always getting together for a big, wild, rambunctious family dinner every weekend. :D

Haha, thanks! I have way too many gifs for my own good, so I might as well share them!

I just don't have much of a use for stuff packs at the moment. They don't seem to have enough, well, stuff for me. How is the new one though? Do you think you'll be using a lot of the content that came with it?

How come I'm not surprised by the Storms family get-togethers and whatnot? They're totally the town mafia.

P.S. I put up a bunch of Sims for download, including Aidan. XD
Jacqueline: vm art galleryvayleen on February 10th, 2011 06:37 am (UTC)
I enjoy them, so share away!

I really like the clothes. The mosaic mod I use needs to be updated for the new patch because currently I'm not getting the bubble effect in the hot tubs. Otherwise the new hot tubs are pretty wicked. I haven't gone too crazy with updating the yard and garden with my current cake house because of Parker and September. One hydrophobic, the other hates being outside. :P

Hopefully they stay that way! Stormy weather, it's always a party.

Thanks for the downloads, I'm already HALF WAY THERE! :D Maybe I'll put a bunch in one house to they'll copulate populate the new town.

Heh, yeah, I can see how the family may not be outside all that much right now. Clearly this is the Storms' least favorite stuff pack. I shall have to check out what exactly came with it, and see if it's something I'm interested in. Stuff packs in Canada are generally not good deals, and never really go on sale so . . . :\

That's what I did with a bunch of them in Redcliffs - put them into a house, named the household "spare bait," and called it a day! Sadly, Tautou was the only one to take notice of any of them, and I think they've pretty much all hooked up with townies. Except SP tells me that Eva is currently stalking Patrick, lolololol.

I forgot your profile said you're Canadian. =/ I take for granted that merchandise is so expensive in foreign countries, which is dumb because I've lived in South America and stayed in New Zealand, and I remember the price of books/movies/games being one of the main things I complained about. :P Between the Sims3 stuff packs, Loft is still my favorite. But I'll probably be more into Outdoor Living once the mosaic mod I use is updated.

I called my house "the sweet shop" because "sweat shop" was too dirty. XD Eva and Calliope are in there along with a bunch of other hotties I've found. Hopefully I'll get some sims in the game that aren't related to my spares so I stop getting kissing cousins SP updates. :P

oh cool, i've never taken a sim to egypt, my world adventures is buggy. it freezes all the time. and it may also have soemthing to do with me getting confused by the traps!

uh avalon, you know they outlawyed stretching racks, right? can i take bac my comment about looks from the last post? me and my big mouth!
ah, but she went back to normal and is still a toddler, weird EA, just plain weird!

and yay for Elliot! i have to agree, he really is the romance novel hero -- not that i read that kind of stuff *shifty look*
